The HIT (Shenzhen) Key Laboratory Cluster Project is a key construction project in Shenzhen, with a total building area of 180,900 square meters. Located in Xili University Town, Nanshan District, Shenzhen, it enjoys a prime geographical position. The project plans to construct 4 new laboratory buildings with lower podium structures, featuring 17 above-ground floors and 3 underground floors, with a building height of 96.9 meters — a magnificent structure.

This project is designed to establish eight national key laboratories, covering cutting-edge fields including urban water resources and water environment, robotics technology and systems, and advanced welding and joining. Upon completion, it will become a gathering place for high-end scientific research talent and a source of technological innovation, holding major strategic significance for enhancing Shenzhen’s basic research capabilities and driving technological development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Ensuring Stability of Suspension Rods in Complex Environments

Laboratory ceilings contain intricate piping systems. The HIT (Shenzhen) project features large structural beams, with significant spacing between the ceiling surface and structural soffit — exceeding 1.5 meters in some areas — and the ceiling follows a folded line with varying heights. Additionally, it must support the weight of aluminum panels and lighting fixtures while accommodating pipeline maintenance access. Therefore, suspension rods require enhanced tensile strength, with spacing rationally set according to aluminum panel module dimensions and lengths precisely adjusted. Primary and secondary joists must possess exceptional load-bearing capacity — stably supporting the ceiling without conflicting with pipelines — presenting a tremendous challenge for construction scheme design and implementation.
